Equation Campaign provides crucial financial and technical support to efforts across the country to fight oil and gas. They support bold activism on the frontlines through different levers: finance, media, law, and political power.
Equation Campaign wanted an inspiring, connected, and thoughtful report to showcase all of the site fights across North America and why they’re important. Six different regions showcased an overview of what’s going on in the area, important stats, and strategies for winning.

Each site fight’s geographical location and makeup is distinct, despite being part of a larger network of climate action. To represent this, color palettes for each site fight are inspired by their geography’s unique flora and fauna.
While about half of the colors used throughout the report are unique to each site fight, just as many are pulled directly from the Equation Campaign color palette. By using some EC colors and some new colors, this reflects the connection and shared resources held by the various site fights, while understanding that each region is different and ultimately has its own needs.
The mycelial network builds a “woodwide web” of tiny threads that intertwine with and bore into tree roots, building a system of plants that can share water, nitrogen, carbon, and other nutrients. Like plants of a forest, efforts to fight oil and gas across the country are increasingly connected to each other through a network of strategy, resources, and friendship. Equation Campaign works to support and nurture these connections.
